Hormonal Balance with Jin Shin Jyutsu

Jin Shin Jyutsu offers simple, natural ways to support hormonal balance by harmonising the body’s energy systems. These gentle hand placements can help regulate the endocrine system, ease menstrual discomfort, reduce fluid retention, and calm the nervous system.

Use these techniques daily or whenever symptoms arise. Gentle touch and slow breathing are all that’s needed.

1. Adrenal Support (23s)

Purpose: Supports adrenal function, helps with stress, fatigue, and hormonal overload.
Steps: Place your hands on your lower back, over the kidney/adrenal area (Points 23).
Rest your hands comfortably.
Breathe slowly and deeply.
Hold for 3–5 minutes to support adrenal recovery.

2. Lower Abdominal Hold (15s)

Purpose: Helps relieve abdominal pain and period discomfort.
Steps: Place your hands in the groin/lower abdominal area (Points 15).
Relax your abdomen and shoulders.
Breathe gently into the lower belly.
Hold for several minutes to ease tension and pain.

3. General Hormonal Balance (13s)

Purpose: Supports overall hormonal regulation and balance.
Steps: Place your hands on the 3rd rib area (Points 13).
Apply light, steady contact.
Breathe slowly and evenly.
Hold for 3–5 minutes to support endocrine balance.

4. Liver Flow (4 + Opposite 22)

Purpose: Helps with bloating, fluid retention, and detox support.
Steps: Place one hand at the base of the skull (Point 4).
Place the other hand on the opposite collarbone (Point 22).
Relax your shoulders and jaw.
Breathe slowly for several minutes, allowing the body to release congestion and fluid retention.

5. Abdominal Pain Relief (2 + Opposite Hi1)

Purpose: Helps relieve abdominal pain, whether digestive or menstrual.
Steps: Place one hand on the lower back on top of the pelvis (Point 2).
Place the other hand on the opposite upper inner thigh (Hi1).
Breathe slowly into the abdomen.
Hold for several minutes until discomfort eases.

6. Hormonal Balance Hand Hold (11 + Thumb over Ring Fingernail)

Purpose: Supports overall hormonal balance and regulation.
Steps: Place one hand at the base of the neck (Point 11).
With the other hand, place your thumb gently over your ring fingernail.
Hold lightly without pressure.
Breathe slowly and hold for a few minutes, then switch hands if needed.

7. Hot Flush Relief (Lo8)

Purpose: Helps reduce hot flushes and excess heat in the body.
Steps: Place your fingers on the Lo8 point on the outer lower leg
Hold gently and comfortably.
Breathe slowly and allow the body to cool and settle.
Continue for several minutes as needed.

8. Night Sweats Support (11 + 14 – Same Side)

Purpose: Helps regulate temperature and reduce night sweats.
Steps: Place one hand at the base of the neck (Point 11).
Place the other hand on the base of the ribs on the same side (Point 14).
Breathe slowly and deeply.
Hold for several minutes to calm the system.

9. Cramp Relief (23 + Coccyx)

Purpose: Helps relieve cramping and lower body tension.
Steps: Place one hand on the lower back (Point 23).
Place the other hand at the base of the spine (coccyx).
Relax your body and breathe deeply.
Hold for several minutes to ease cramps.

You don’t need to use all techniques—choose the ones that match your symptoms. Regular, gentle practice helps the body rebalance naturally over time.
